More Acquisitions in the TEM Space

Vodafone’s acquisition of Quickcomm and TnT in October 2010 has already proven to be a productive move for Quickcomm and holds bright promise for the future.
Following closely behind are two more acquisitions within the TEM space.
Yesterday, Emptoris, a strategic supply and contract management software solutions provider, added to its portfolio of solutions with its acquisition of Rivermine, a telecom expense management solutions provider.
This morning, BroadSource, a telecom expense management software firm, announced its acquisition of Integrated Mobile, a managed mobility services firm.
These acquisitions, although different in nature, serve to highlight the importance of telecom expense management. Effectively managing the communications cost centers can lead to significant savings and bottom line results for organizations. Gartner’s Eric Goodness predicted that Vodafone’s acquisition would provide validation for other acquisitions, and given the two most recent moves in that direction, it seems that there will certainly be more mergers and acquisitions in the TEM space.
